AN/PYQ-10 (often called the Simple Key Loader, or “SKL”) is a rugged, handheld COMSEC fill device used to securely receive, store, and transfer cryptographic key material and related mission data to compatible communications and cryptographic equipment. In practical field use, it supports streamlined management and distribution of COMSEC keys, Electronic Protection (EP) data, and Signal Operating Instructions (SOI), and it is designed to meet NSA information assurance/certification security requirements while remaining backward compatible with legacy key-management processes and devices.
